Professor of Computer Science and Systems, Information Technology Deanship, King Abdulaziz University
In 1980, he received BS.C in Industrial Electronics from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, Al Menofia University, Egypt. In 1986, he received MS.C with title “Estimation Techniques for Management of Telephone Exchange” from the Electronics and Communication Department, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt. He received PH.D degree in “Performance Optimization of LANs that use Various CSMA Protocols” from Electronics and Communication Department, Faculty of engineering, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt in 1998. In 1999, he taught Computer networks, Computer Circuits, and Computer Architecture courses in High Technological Institute, Cairo, Egypt. In 2001, he joined the High Institute for Specialized Technological Studies in Cairo as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Information Systems for teaching other courses as: Electronics, Database Design, Computer Programming with Pascal, and Data Structure. From 2002 -2005, he worked in Al Balqa Applied University, Jordan for teaching various courses concerned with Software Engineering as well as Computer Communication Networks for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. From 2005- 2010, he worked in Al Ahliyya Amman university, Amman, Jordan. Currently, he joined the Information Technology Deanship, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His main research interests are oriented to Computer Communication Networks especially in the following trends: optimization techniques, analytical simulation techniques, and applying AI & Expert systems in managing different communication networks. Comparative studies between various congestion and routing algorithms.
Working an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Information Systems in both High Technological Institute and High Institute of Specialized Technological Studies in Egypt for teaching the following courses: database systems, management information systems, computer architecture, and computer programming using various languages as: Fortran4, Basic, Pascal, and C++. Currently, working visiting Associate Professor of Computer Engineering, faculty of Engineering, Al Ahliyya Amman University, Jordan for teaching different courses concerned with: Control Systems, Software Engineering, Digital Logic, Artificial Intelligent and Computer Communication networks.Also, In the field of work, I teach courses in database systems using Oracle and Access and applying these courses in conjunction with Visual Basic for designing various database systems to hospitals, hotels, banks and commercial companies. Beside the previous tasks ,I supervise various projects to undergraduate students working in designing Web sites for teaching different courses using Asp, Java, and Macromedia Flash…etc languages to create the Web pages as well as supervising projects for the postgraduate students in the field of computer communication networks oriented to design and implement software tools used in managing and supervising LAN and other computer networks.Studying and analyzing the congestion control and flow control protocols in data link layer and network layer.
